Certainly one of my favorites. I prefer the smaller frame size and the trigger safety system over the thumb system with 1911's. Also the "out of the box" accuracy tends to be a lot better than most 45-auto Colt's. Not sure of the accuracy of the Springfield's, never tried one. Just look at what the cops are carrying, about 90% are toting a Glock 9mm or .40, and there's a good reason for that.
My "old reliable" is Glock 19, Trijicon sights, and fed Winchester Sivertip 115gr JHP's. Perfect combo in my book.
