OK, given that information I would still recommend one of the Glock's and here's why. You want a home defence gun so you or someone else in the house can operate under stress, with a
Glock 22 (.40 caliber) you'd have either a 15-17 round magazine, the main safety is in the trigger like a revolver, no fiddling with thumb safeties with some bad guy breaking in.
Spend the extra money for the
Trijicon sights, and I would look into the
Laser Max laser sights, its an internal system, again, all idiot proof and easy to operate under stressful conditions.
