Existing CMS Off-the-rack Systems - MAS vs Sitedepth feedback

Anyone using MAS or Sitedepth care to share their impressions of a content management sytem like this vs. a custom-coded solution.

Nobody has an opinion on either of these software packages vs. a programmer?

I'd be interested to hear anyone's experiences, too.

I haven't used site depth for long.

But on a new paysite, it seems like a great time saver and extremely good value for money.

Check out Monolith. You can purchase only the CMS portion of the script if you're interested. I don't think MAS or Sitedepth have anywhere near the amount of features that Monolith has. Costs a considerable amount less than MAS too. Like have the price.

Yep, at a fraction of the cost of any of the other CMS's available.

YOU CAN'T EVEN HIRE A PROGRAMMER IN INDIA TO DO A CMS FOR THE COST OF SITEDEPTH !

Well, I've definitely had some pretty low offshore bids, but I'm waaaaaaay more concerned with functionality than price. $$ aside, what do people think? I know $400 is much less than $4,000, but I've already wasted time with one horrendous CMS and I want to pick a winner this time.
