There are only about 25,000 polar bears in the whole world, and 60% of them live in Canada. The rest live in Russia, Greenland, Norway, and Alaska.
I seriously doubt Greenland has an overpopulation problem.
They have a slow economy, so they've decided to allow foreigners to come to Greenland to kill polar bears for fun.
