I have my eye on that one too. It's a damn good deal, even if you pay retail price. Really good feeling camera, great response time, intuitive interface, optical viewfinder. None of the laggy-ass-delay bullshit on the Kodak cameras.

Um, not sure I'd shoot a site with one though. I'd use strobe lighting and an SLR for anything serious.

Its the exact same price after the $50 rebate. I dont know shit about cameras is that one better? I read that hp uses crap plastic lenses and Sony uses nice ones and the Sony's reviews were great.

I have that camera and I absolutely LOVE it !!! It takes beautiful pictures.

I used DigitalCameraInfo.com as a resource guide which looks at pretty much every aspect of each camera they review. Here's their review on the DSC-W1

http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/ratings.php If you notice, the DSC-W1 is ranked 5th out of ALL the cameras they rated, it's only behind the Digital SLR and SLR-Shaped cameras, so I guess that as far as it's compact size niche goes, it's the best

yeah, i have a w-1... love it to bits, it's a great holiday and party camera...

here's a quick pic at 5mpixel so you can see the quality of the shots it'll take...

low light no flash on...

i highly recomend this camera... i've had canon's and kodak's but the sony w-1 kicks all their asses...

next setup up from this little digital is an slr personally...

I've got one as well. I also have a Vaio laptop, so the memory sticks are nice for me.

I don't shoot content, but I like it for personal stuff. It can be a bit blurry if you are moving at all when you shoot.
