Chinese corporations are slowly but surely buying up US brand names and property and currency and bonds. The latest and most notable one being IBM computers.
American companies who go to China always fail for very simple reasons.
China does not enforce trademark and copyrights laws.
So, a US companies start producing in China, then a Chinese corporation start making the exact same product and undercut the US corp, then the Chinese corp start flooding the US market with the lowest priced copy.
The US corp not only lose their footing in China, and then lose their market share in the US.
