Is it legal to post my e-mail address and the contents of the e-mail which I wrote on a public forum or a site without my permission? What can I do to make the person to take down my info? Should I contact his hosting? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

nothing much you can do... just look at spamhaus and how they post every spammers info... even after they request it to be taken down it remains. -
You could try nailing them on a DMCA violation, most ISP's freak when you contact them about that.Comment

It depends on the purpose for which they posted your info.
Regardless, you may want to contact their host or read up on the host's AUP/TOS.Comment
