Yes and no?.
Some of these drugs help a lot of people to cope with life?.others drown their 5 kids or cut newborns out of jealous mothers. The fact is it?s not just the pharmaceutical companies.
It?s the lobbyists that pressured the FDA to release drugs quicker. It previously took 10-15 years for a drug to hit the market after development.
It?s the greed of the (VC) venture capitalists that employed the lobbyists.
It?s the greed of the brokerage firm to push the IPO because they fucked up with tech stocks.
It?s the HMO?s fault for squeezing the life blood out of Doctors revenue.
It?s the Doctors fault because he turned into a legalized drug dealer to pay his $150,000 student loan back.
It?s the greed of you and me when our brokers call and tell us there is a hot new stock in a company that can make any dick hard. Literally. And your retirement account will be safe this year.
It?s the Internet porn business fault because on average I made $450,000 a year for 3 years then it dropped to almost nothing. Then I get depressed and can?t focus on any thing and the doctors give me paxil adderall. Then I figure out it?s just a market saturation and understand I am not truly depressed and go off my meds. I then sleep 18 hours a day due to lack of adderall and see Jesus at the end of my bed due to lack of paxil.
