    email -> text message

    anyone have anything, or heard of anything, that will send a text message to your mobile phone when and email is sent?

    basicly, you setup an email address, like [email protected] that is used for emergency issues, server down or some type of ugent thing and when an email is sent to that address, it either takes that and sends it as a text message, or jsut generates a text message like " hey, [email protected] just received an urgent message", etc.

      Maybe set up a forwarder? So that when an email is sent to [email protected] it also goes to [email protected]

          just found a place thru Verizon wireless that lets you send text messages right thru email

              I've got that set up to mail my lawyer if something hits the fan, at least she'll be ready for the call.
