Problem...Computer room in house gets to hott....

I don't want to run the A/C at 60 Degrees either..

Is there something I can buy to push cool air into the pc room?

I have 5 running pc's in a 10x8 room Gets pretty hott...

Printers.. Monitors.. Router Hubs. KVM switches Phones ect.. all generating heat..

Get a cheap A/C unit.

Whatever you do don't get a fan. I bought a turbo fan from home depot. Works damn good but after a week of use I started to lose my hearing

I have 28 machines in my room... 3 network switches, 3 cable modems, 2 routers, one 32-port kvm, 3 flat panel monitors

its hot as fuck in here

By the way, I just spent $2500 replacing the outside thingy for my upstairs A/C

that box that sits on the ground outside with the fan in it, dunno what its called...

but anyway after replacing it, its a cool 74 degrees in my office all the time, with all this hardware running

will best fan u can buy. 215$ and some duct, a 20x20x10 room will get exhausted 1 time in 4minutes. a Timer is like 20$ and can set it 15 on, 15 off, or leave it on? There are some temp controlled things that will do; if temp is greater than x, power will on, and power will off when temp is y. dunno the name, never had one of those.

Its probably alot quieter than A/C. and the unit can be placed in another room, the downside is there will be ducting visible and maybe some minor construction. There is also the choice of having air come in from outside, or opposite.

you know they do make air conditioners for small rooms. just set it on the floor, and they have a vent that you can run out the w indow. Should work well, I was considering doing that then I just decided to upgrade my whole upstairs A/C

I've been wanting to get a chair with kevlar mesh cushions. I find even if it's cool-ish I still sweat on my chair after a couple of hours.

Does the room have carpet or tile? tile it if it's carpet. Keep the hahahahahahas open at both ends of the room and buy a uber quiet fan/ac unit.

heres an idea... get the PC's out room

my old room I had a full rack (well okay it was a 4 shelf unit from home depot) and PC's on every level solid, can't tell you the exact number of units because not all of them were working at one time but it was upwards of at least 20.

anyhow it would boil that room never needed to heat that room in the winter. Then I moved, took the walk- closest in the 1 bedroom put all my units in there put a vent into the attic with a fan (kinda like what you got in the bathroom) and a small turbo fan at floor level) kept the room cool enough for the boxes and got me away from all the whilring noise.

better yet... get an office...

1st off, get rid of the monitors and use winvnc or pcanywhere. save on space + heat

now, odds are you have dell optiplexs? (the most common spam machines) stack those fuckers on top of eatch other and put a small fan behind them. it will pull most of the heat off em and keep them nice n cool.

you could always get an ac ofcourse heh.

definitely get rid of the monitors atleast. they are a waste of space and a big source of heat.

just had an idea, as we are remodeling out house/office. anyone ever think of putting them in a closet (on and ouside wall) and putting one of those bathroom ceiling vent fans in? think that an dusing aux fans in the CPU would do it?

monitors are the key but you don't have to get rid of them...I have 5 monitors in about the same size room and once I set them to hibernate after 30 minutes of non-use my room cooled down dramatically. Now I can come in in the morning and my comp room feels like any other room in the house.
for the longest time i thought it was the towers making all the heat but its not
