AVN time frame for next year

curious - and I know I have no real say in this but i'd like to discuss it here, would anyone else like to see internext AFTER CES and AVN movie convention instead of before? like around NOW....

empty vegas
cheaper flights - easier to get
easy to get rooms, cheaper
most will be able to stay at SAME hotel
not infringing on new year's eve holiday

thoughts?

AVN gets a deal on the venues that CES does not use. They do not care about the hotel prices. AVN does not care about me, or you. What has AVN done for you, or this business? Nothing. They are all about $, and video idiots.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

Yeah man, I live in Vegas and FUCKING hate the fact the CES and AVN are at the same time with InterNext coming first. Its really ridiculous. Too much traffic, no rooms etc.

Absolutely, moving the show out a couple weeks would be great.. as of now it's definitely too close to the holidays.

i saw a lot of improvement this year from avn - not saying they were perfect, (ie the lineups sucked and were a MAJOR problem) just saying they SEEMED to me to be much more receptive to input from webmasters is all.....

I have heard, but not from AVN directly, that they are looking into making AVN and Internext one and the same show. I hope that was just a rumor and will not turn out to be true.

personally, and my opinion doesn't really matter - but i DON'T think that would be a good idea. I'd prefer a seperate show, and there needs to be ONE big show a year in vegas for webmasters

mind you - same time - different convention rooms would be totally fine and probally a good idea......but NOT the same time as CES.

that would be INSANLY stupid. - one week or so later. Doesn't have to be a weekend either - cheaper weekday rates are fine and prefered - less people in vegas!

They have their whole staff in Vegas. They would never fly everyone out for a few days and then come back a week later.

It will never happen!

I wish our converntion would come 2nd, but I think the AEE show is so big and labor intensive for them that Internext is more like a warm-up for their main presentation.

You sure there aren't any other conventions going on in that timeframe? last time I checked Vegas is the hotspot for conventions.

honestly i was going to start this thread because the three on at the same time pretty much fucked up all chances of getting cheaper flights and rooms and getting around the town without lining up for cabs which sucked pretty much

maybe combine the shows but have only business to business first few days of show then fans allowed last couple days and give online peeps option if we want in on the fan days or get the hell out.
also, hope they make it mid January next time, kills the holiday time otherwise.

I heard a rumor that this was the last Vegas Internext, which I think would be a better idea than the rumor you heard

Sleazy, I agree! The shows are entirely to close to the holidays. I feel like I have been away for a month! On another note, I would like to add that for the amount of money spent on a badge, you would think they could mail all pre paid badges prior to the show. Just my
