That's his Job !! He's lucky he got a weeks notice. He's not entitled to any notice.

All these people sit here and bitch about GWB and our government. You have a choice. If you don't like the way things are leave the country. No one is forcing you to stay.

I was in the military as well. As a normal thing, we would be given at least a month's notice and often could expect, even in times of war (we were told), at least 2 weeks notice to get things in order. Don't tell me what the military is or is not entitled to, thanks.

Yes, I know damn full well what a soldier or sailor signs on to do. We are signing on to protect and defend the United States and its Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Since when is it our duty to get killed for the personal agenda of our illustrious Commander in Chief? I will bitch about King George all I fuckin want to, because I CAN. Remember, I was willing to put my ass on the line when I was in the military, so I've earned that right. How about you?

I am glad that this isn't WWI or WWII. I do have the hope that my friend will come home. I have the hope that he can come home in one piece, alive and well.
