    Buying new Labtop

I'm thinking about buying a new labtop, I'm getting tierd of my Dell Inspirion 4100. It's the only computer I use, it does it stuff, but sometimes I wish it had more resolution then 1024* 768 especially when I'm working in Photoshop and macromedia software.

I've decided to get myself a home computer(tower with very silent fan) with 19"lcd and huge resolution. That will be my main computer for all work related stuff.

But still I want the confortness of owning a labtop, being able of working anywhere. But I want quiet, light but powerful labtop. Here are my two choses:

    IBM T 41
Seems great, with 14.1 " and more then 1024*768

    or

    IBM X 40
    only 3.2 lbs (1,4kg) !
but only with 12" montor and ONLY 1024*768

    view them here: http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...-840&langId=-1

What are your thougts, any other you'd reccomend?

man wait for the new centrino laptops, should be about to come out

centrino laptops have much higher battery life (upto 6 hours)
            also built in wireless networking...
remember centrino processors are equivalent to a higher clockspeed P4

centrino has been around for a year but they are about to bring out faster ones with the latest wireless standard

            im buying one

Hehe, spelling nazi. On to the subject, IBM laptop's blow unless you're going to drop them a few times, then they're worth it as I've never dropped mine and had anything break.

I'd go with Toshiba or Dell if I were in the market for another laptop.

I think both of those IBM labtops have this centrion technology, and the T version has about 7 hours battery.

It's not much, but it takes alot room in my bag and I know if it's less heavy I'll take more often with me.

i don't take it anywhere cept to different areas of the house..

plus you wouldn't wanna put it on your lap.. on account of the burning air that gets shot out the exhaust fan : )

Toshiba and Acer are not considered as the same quality as HP, Dell or Ibm. I don't know if that makes any sense.

If those are your 2 choices, I'd say go for the IBM T 41. Seems like it will suit you just fine.
