What changes will occur for content producers in the US after the HIV scare?

After this whole outbreak, can you forsee the government pushing for strict regulations in regards to porn production? If condoms will be mandatory, can we expect creampie/bareback sites to disappear, or do you see a lot of companies filming out of the country? How detrimental is condom-free porn to your company?

What do you think will happen, and how fast do you think new regulations will be implemented?

I thought it was just California trying to enforce condom use in porn? Thats why some porn produces said they would just move out of the state if that happend.?

they can move out of California but they'll all be shooting the same 10 girls over and over. Only Los Angeles can support the huge adult movie industry when it comes to a big enough talent pool. Vegas is the only possible alternate city and I don't think they could match L.A..
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

i would think there will be a lot of production outside the U.S

would raise production costs but it won't be the end of porn or cumshot porn.

give it a few months and all will be back to normal.

        remember when aids first started?

didn't really change much did it?

I think it would be best if the governement would stay out of the porn industry. If we all die of AIDs, just think how happy they would be. Protecting the public from CP, rape, abuse and murder is fine and must end there.

Republicans are suppose to be for less government. I'm all for that! Let free enterprise work!

I am sure that the industry will get control over the HIV problem on its own.

They don't have to move out of the USA it's just California trying to make that law with condoms on performers.. at least thats what it says here in this article:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - HIV (news - web sites) infections of two porn stars has prompted local health authorities to seek unprecedented inspections of California's multibillion-dollar adult film industry and press for mandatory condom use during sex scenes, officials said on Tuesday.

"By putting condoms into it, you're ruining the fantasy," he said. "Nobody wants to see the wires holding up the stunt guy doing a cool stunt. And you don't want to be reminded of your own condom use when you're watching a film."

Kulkis added that he probably would move his operation out of state if California imposed a compulsory condom rule.

It's the Health officals not the republicans calling for this law!

Interesting stuff. Do you guys think that the public awareness of the situation will cause a public backlash against creampie/bareback porn causing a national set of regulations?

I know for a fact that Vegas is still doing well, with what looks like a slight increase in models. Are people going to shy away from CA? If so, which markets do you see expanding?

Photo and video retouchers will be back in demand and the cost of porn will rise. And, condom makers will offer more realistic flesh tone products and charge more.

the interesting thing about all this is that the huge effort to regulate the sexual health of adult industry performers is somewhat misplaced.

if officials in california REALLY wanted to do something about the transmission of HIV they would close all the gay bathhouses and anonymous gay sex clubs.

how many cases of hiv transmission have there been in the last few years in the adult sex industry in california?---you could count the total cases on one hand.

but i'd be willing to bet in the gay bathhouse scene there is hiv transmission EVERY SINGLE DAY that is not hahahahahahahahaed.

this is mostly due to the gay political force, and the public's desire to control that dirty sex industry.

totally misguided use of public funds.

Well as a content producer for numerous sites I must say this... people are all saying because of this HIV incident , they are all switching to condom only... BUT my point is there was HIV incident in 1999 , so why didnt they all be doing condom only since then.
I think if you are male talent outside the US , you should have a grace period maybe before working in the US again, but how to enforce it.
I think in this buisness, for most of us smaller companies , we will need to shoot condom only to make a living. I think this industry is pretty safe considering all the shooting that goes on.. but we all realize the hazzards that can occur. I mean if there is a plane crash , does that mean no one will ever fly again, of course not.. everyone realizes there is that chance when ever you get on a plane and after an accident you are a little more nervous... BUT you still get on right.
So I am personally going to continue to shoot non condom as I very rarely do anal scenes anyway... but I will wait a bit to let all get confirmed negative in LA as Im shooting in Florida now.

Excellent point. I think people coming out of LA will have a tough time finding work for a bit, unless a small company needs models desperately. Florida seems like a good place to go for talent. It's not a place that a lot of broke newbie models will visit and it's far from being a neighbor state to CA.

Nothing. This is smoke. No one really cares about this one CA "outbreak" (?) which was bound to happen somewhere no matter what.

All this money and resources spent on targeting the adult industry when it happens all the time (no condom risk in the general public).

Not a chance they can carry this through for people who are regularly tested - and not apply it to the general public.

Typical CA BS of some overpaid official trying to justify his paycheck.

CA may pass a law - then everyone leaves - lose all that money and the repeal it. But won't go nationwide. Not a chance.

Couldn't have said it better and this will all go away very soon. No one will support or care about this. They are making fools of themselves (agency).
