Young Girls Dressing Inappropriately...wtf is up with parents?

I have 2 nieces one is 17, the other is 12.

My oldest niece was allowed to get her belly button pierced when she turned 16.

Anyway my youngest niece she and her friend both turned 12 about a month apart from each other.

Her friend started off the school year with her mother allowing her to get her nose pierced..she was 11.

Then for her 12th birthday she was allowed to get her belly button pierced...and now this past weekend her mother took her to get her tongue pierced.

This IMO is unbelievable. The girl who is now only 12 is as tall as me, fully developed *she could easily be mistaken for 15-16 and she has informed my niece that she has the hots for some 18 year old guys in her neighborhood.

The girl's mother complains that older guys are always checking her out and talking her up but I don't see how she's helping the situation by fully outfitting her in the hoochie uniform of the day.

don't get me wrong I am not a prude...piercings etc are fine but IMO are one of those things that are age appropriate.

15-16 witha few piercing = expressing oneself

12 seems like you're just pimping out your kid.

Have you checked the childrens section at any clothing store lately...amazing.

When we take the girls shopping we laugh at some of the outfits they have for kids these days....and I'm not just talking about teens or preteens...I'm talking infants...the trend now days is to take clothes from one age...teens and just scale them down to fite each eage...but that's not always appropriate.

what about going to walmart and seeing 10yr old kids with thongs?

All this and they want to crack down on porn, how about craking down on retarded parents first?

At Wal-Mart in February I saw a girl who couldn't have been more than 10 years old wearing a bikini top and hot pants so tight she had a camel toe and so short that the lower half of her ass was hanging out. WTF???? And she was there with her mother, and in FEBRUARY!

I don't know what's wrong with parents these days. I remember when I was 13 I wanted to wear a semi-short skirt to the mall (not even a mini skirt) and my parents refused. So I wore a longer skirt and hiked it up under my shirt when I got there. Yeah, 18 year old guys were checking me out, some of them even followed me around like mini mall-stalkers, which could have been very dangerous. (Teens are stupid sometimes, but parent's are SUPPOSED to be there to keep them from doing stupid shit when they can.) My parents NEVER would have let me leave the house this way. It just boggles my mind that parents knowingly let their kids dress like that.

I think it's great to see teenage girls dressing skimpy and bcoming sexualized at a younger age. Let them grow up to be materialistic, sex-obsessed sluts who fall right into my clutches at age eighteen so I can offer them some excitement and money and cock

I complained about this very same thing at my gym. Young teens are allowed to use the "wellness center" at the YMCA where I work out. These little girls wear short shorts, thongs or no underwear and the men stand around and drool at them. They have thier chest hanging out, thier ass crack, and absolutly no sence. It discusts me that people let thier kids dress like that.

The way the men look at them disturbs me.

The worst example I've seen was in a department store, I can't remember which one now... but it was in that 'tween' clothing section, and was a white baby-tee with a sparkly cherry on it, saying "pick me".

                        My thoughts exactly.

Even my 12 year old niece told her she was stupid...she just accused her of being jealous.

where is it legal to pierce those parts on girls?

i dont think shops here in LA would pierce 12 year olds.

                          ive never seen that here.

I would think there would be an issue...but was told as long as a parent is along it's cool.

Not my daughter, over my stone dead body.

When my sister and I were growing up we weren't even allowed to wear make up until we were 14, and even then it was mascara and lip gloss. At 16 we were allowed to colour our hair any colour we wanted to, but the rule was - no permanent scarring. No tattoos, no piercings. At that age, you're not ready to make decisions that will stay with your body for the rest of your life.

I have a 14 year old cousin who looks like a hooker at family dinners...and her mother is a teacher! It's fucked.

Driving past the local high school, I see all the future porn talent ripe and ready and already in uniform at 14/15. It's really sad.

ears pierced is one thing. facial and body piercings are entirely another. 18 is the legal age to have those done because that's when you are an adult. I think that's when its appropriate to consider getting pierced.

The rites of passage....for children...getting way out of hand, in my opinion. I agree with you.

When parents begin to allow this kind of stuff too early, what do they expect?

What parents don't realise is, by saying yes too soon, allows the child to think ahead to the next desire on the list. There's no delayed gratification or incentive.

There is nothing to look forward to in the sense of milestones achieved with age.

Even 15-16 might be too young for belly and nose piercings.

I don't know. It just seems kids are growing up too fast.

When we lived in Georgia, the legal age was 18, I think, for certain piercings and tattoos.

But. There's always someone willing to do it.

My 11 year old son is REALLY starting to enjoy watching the high school girls.

I'm glad I only have sons, I can't help but notice how miserable Dads who only have daughters look when they're out in public together.

I blame pop music like britney/christina for the slutty clothes... and I think there must be some sort of growth hormones in the food. Cuz none of the girls had fully developed tits when i was in elementry/jr high... now look at them!

Yeah, it is pretty disheartening that kids are dressing the way they are now. Kids get away with so much now, as compared to when I was growing up. The problem with the kids now is that most of their parents had them when they were kids themselves, sad but true. When I was 13 there was a girl in grade 8 that making her 14 having a kid. SCARY SHIT!!! I am lucky that I had older siblings and two parents that are still married for 42 years now to instill strong morals and values in me.

                                                        Yeah. A shop.

                                                        How do I know this?

Because my then fifteen year old son came home from one, proudly sporting a tongue piercing.

We said no. Apparently, the wax in his ears was overflowing.

there are currently no state laws governing piercings in nevada only county codes in clark county...and I don't exactly what they entail.
But I do know that my sister can take her kids into a shop and get different parts of their bodies pierced as long as she is present and gives consent.

The reason I know this is because they are going to get the upper part of their ears pierced...that I can live with..but this friend with belly, tongue and nose piercings is a bit too much.

This just "same ol' same ol'". In the 50's kids dressed "inappropriately" with leather jackets, girls wore skirts that were above their knees. In the 60's boys grew their hair long .. in the 70's girls wore tight jeans and showed off their belly button etc.

                                                                It's the same old story.

They'll eventually grow up. As adults we can worry about it all we want .. but just bear in mind that it's really nothing new. Is it right or wrong? I won't even get into that. No, I don't like to see 12 year-old girls dress like hookers but if not they'll dress like goths or hippies or rappers or whatever else is "in". No matter what adults and parents do teenagers will always be looking for new ways to fit in, express themselves, get high, get laid and be popular.

Ive been amazed when riding home late at night and seeing these young girls walking the road looking like they are out working the corner just walking along to wherever.

Why does any child under 18 need to be out til midnight????? You cant get into a bar until 21 here in the US.

Where exactly are the parents in these cases? How can they sleep knowing their 15 year old daughter is out at 12am doing god knows what and where?

Fucking amazing how out of touch society has become for some...They dont deserve the privilige of being a parent.

When you buy content to sell to surfers, how do you think those pictures are taken? The vast majority (not all), of the "talent" in the porn industry tend to be to be pretty sad cases of girls who are "materialistic, sex-obsessed sluts" who have nothing better going on in their lives than to do this. I don't think that any webmaster here, particularly on this thread, would want their daughter to do the things, and live the lifestyle that "content" girls do. I knew quite a few in LA, and I know quite a few in Miami, and they almost always have some history of emotional, or physical abuse, and are really unhappy in general.

I'm sorry if this is hard to hear, but this is what you are buying and selling.

My parents would have never ever let me dress like slutty though, even if I had wanted to.

I've seen parents try real hard to keep their children age appropriate.

                                                                                            The results vary.

To blame television or parents totally isn't appropriate, either. I know how hard I tried and my son still did it. Does that make me a bad parent? Maybe. But, I know I tried like hell to keep his activities limited to what I thought was age appropriate. He had other ideas.

Still, he grew up, in spite of himself and is headed in a wonderful direction. But, that's my kid.

I've seen so many kids take wrong turns, through no fault of the parents and I've seen kids do it right, in spite of parents.

Sigh. Seems like a crap shoot sometimes.

Secondly, where does the content come from?

I'm not holding it up as some great thing to prey upon girls to get content, but to be honest, a lot of the girls are open to manipulation and that is what the content people take advantage of. I'm not saying that it's all one sided, but there is that tendency. I'm not shying away from it, people use each other all the time......I'm just pointing out how funny the post that jim_gunn put up was.

I go to the mall and these little girls are dressed like whores walking with their parents. Then they wonder why the kid is fucking around at 13 and with a kid at 15.
