Look there are so many ways for google to find a new site.From the domain registrars records to someone having googles toolbar installed and visiting the site to following links.If the site has not been indexed within a month something is wrong.Now remember indexing is different than getting good places in their search engine results.Comment

Don't worry about it. I had the same thing happen to me. All I did was go to the Add URL in google and request it again. Within 2 days they had indexed it.Comment
