You can now registered your domain for 100 years!

    I got this from NSI:
"Protecting your online identity is now easier than ever with the 100 Year Domain Service from Network Solutions®!"

Will anyone register their domain(s) that long!

    Welcome to 100 years ago

:P... There was a thread on this about a month ago... good plan for NSOL. They'll have a HUGE cash buffer that they can sit there and earn interest on since they only register the domains for 10 years at a time (they just renew it automatically if you're on the 100 year plan).

They'll make huge money on that one.

i dont think too many people or companies would commit for that long, its a pretty stupid idea, much better to renew every year and not keep your $$$ tied up

It reminds me of the way the bank tries to hold on to money transfers for a little longer than they need to!

I have most of my domains for life .. and I think my children will inherit them if I will have any children in the future.

I believe the limit is 10 years, and netsol basically auto renew it for you when the 10 years are up. The only domain that I'm willing to renew that long is a personal or family name.

Sounds like ya'll missed the "fine print" in that email they sent out.

For an additional $99.99, they'll guarantee YOU will also be around for another 100 years.

P.S. There is a disclaimer that says "We don't gaurantee what SHAPE you'll be in..but you'll still be here!"
