$$CONTEST $$: Do you have a story that could make a good INDEPENDANT FILM?

Okay, I'll jack up the prize to $100.00!

I just had an idea earlier today for a short story about a man sitting by himself watching television. He is flipping through the channels and the TV skips to some odd numbered channel that never comes in.

On the screen he sees himself (like through a camera taping him watch television).

This perplexes him, as expected, so he gets up and walks toward the screen, as he does this, the reflection in the TV screen does exactly the same...

So soon the two men are face to face, staring at each other through the television.

Now, this could go a few different ways;

either you could go on about how his satellite dish picked up another dimension and something happened to the guy on the other side, like there's an explosion on the other end and his reflection is incinerated, and suddenly the TV changes itself to a news channel where they said a meteor just narrowly missed earth... (kinda corny)

Or, you could just draw out the weirdness of this actually happening (seeing himself on the television) and end it with the two of them being face to face, and let your audience draw their own conclusions..

Maybe someone can continue the story...

I've done my fair share of silent films. It seems what you just said would be mostly silent?

I'm looking for more dialogue... maybe you can add some nice twists to that? Keep it coming!

i got a story:

It's 1999, and aaronM is a pretty normal guy, just minding his own business and doing some occasional computer hacking. One day, he's contacted by a man calling himself Lensman, who informs aaronM that the world he knows is merely a software program, called GFY, designed by machines to distract humans while they're used for fuel. The program perfectly simulates everyday life, creating an alternate universe down to the smallest detail. Lensman tells aaronM, that he is the only one who can hack into GFY and free humankind.

A 42 yr old man with 2 children who robs a bank in order to payback a hitman for killing a guy who he suspected was cheating on his wife. He gets cought and goes to jail where he is hired by a member of the mob as a body gaurd. He does a few things here and there and protects the don. The don the asks him to whack the brother of a man who has not paid his debt to the mob. He goes and does it then goes back to the don to let him know it was done. He comes home and realizes that he just shot his son. He goes back to the scene of the crime where he is killed by his son's gay lover. The gay lover then goes and kills the don and takes control of the mob. Gay lover is shot by the man's wife and the wife is then used as currencty within the mob.

youll probably want to change up alot of the stuff though
