okay, im really not a gamer, i still have Playstation 1 hooked up so its time to upgrade to something from this century LOL

Im guessing either Playstation 2 or Xbox. I went to a video store for the first time yesterday at the mall and was fuckin around with the Xbox they had hooked up, pretty decent graphics on it. But I also liked the PS2.

Which system is better to get & better for non-gamers to get used to??

AND....

which game is a good game to get that is fun but not that hard to play for a non-gamer??

you would do better with the gamecube if you want really fun games that are deep but simple to get into...

Hey this is off subject but I'm in Milwaukee a LOT because I come to visit my kids. In fact, I'm driving to Milwaukee tomorrow. I didn't even know that there were any gfy webmasters around milwaukee. I'll be staying in the brown deer area off of silver spring road. I won't have time to meet you this time around because I'm just coming to drop off my kids but maybe when I spend more time there we can have a drink or something.

I got a modded one and it's 10 times as fun.

I woudl go with the xbox and hack it.. best $200 i ever spent..

play old arcade games on your xbox : MAME
play the old laser disc games on your xbox
tones of emulators, c64, nintendo etc.
and the best reason of all to have a xbox and hack it is
XBMC (Xbox Media Center)

blow away any lame ass pc that you have hooked to your TV to watch
and listen to video or audio content!

I do have both tho, mainly to play GTA: San Andreas.. but thats coming to the xbox as well this year..

most of the time it depends on the games that you like playing, because sometimes you might like a game, but they only have it forone of those systems.

i was doin some research on both systems (xbox and ps2), not much difference in price or graphics but xbox looks like it offers a shit load more than ps2 does...

that xbox LIVE thing looks pretty cool, im tryin to find out how much it is to have that hooked up.

just remember alot of that xbox stuff is only if you mod the system... XBOX live also costs so much per month as PS2 Online is free. I like my PS2 a lot better.

see, i dont need all that mod shit. i just wanna play a game on a game console that doesnt have the graphics of pac man LOL

i poped in GTA into my PS1 last night and was like "Oh my, these graphics suck ass, time to update!" lol

i think i played my PS1 once a year. just need a simple system that i can play without getting confused. the PS2 controller is exactly the same as PS1's which would make it easier for me to play games. im not a big gamer person.

PS2 has a great game catalog and also supports your PS1 games, so that might be of interest to you. I havent met anyone who hasnt been able to pick up games like GTA in a few minutes and start having fun, although for sheer gameplay something like a Gamecube might be better (Nintendo's games always seem to be the most original).

ya know, i was playing Super Mario Bros. with my niece last week, and i had forgot how much i liked playing those games cuz they're not TOO easy and the levels are beatable, which is perfect for a non-gamer LOL

If you've never checked out PC games you can get alot for free at sites like Filefront and File Planet. And there are alot of non-gamer's games you can play on line too.
