It will vary a ton depending on state, age, record, etc. just like any other car.

However, it's not as bad as many people think. The Gallardo is comparable to a Corvette insurance wise. Not $20,000 per year like some people like to think.

The Gallardo is a carbon fibre chasis like the Enzo. even fixing it, it will not be the same unless the whole chasis is replaced.

I would buy it for the drive train and make a custom tube chasis car.

You guessed correct. It's a WS6 not a W56. I've owned a few Camaros. Insurance on Corvettes is typically more than FBodies. I pay about $600 more per for my Gallardo than I did my '02 Convertible Corvette. (I should have mentioned convertible in my first post) I'm sure my rates dropped a bit also when I renewed, but it's still not substantially more than a newer Corvette would be.

And F-Bodies are hardly the same thing as a Corvette with 2 extra seats ;)

omfg this is too funny, a friend of mine is the one that towed the car and works for the body shop that got the car. The car was wrecked in Oceanside New York, he supposedly just bought it recently and took it out for the day.
