I need a PORTABLE ICQ device, what are my options?

Going to NY for a few days and I cannot be without icq!

Are there devices that have icq on them and work anywhere? (i dont need it to work in the middle of nowhere, just need it to work in different cities between canada/us)

Does anyone in toronto have something like this through their cellphone providers?

If you're going to be around available WLAN a lot, a 12" ultraportable laptop will give you the best options.

PocketPC platform PDA's are available with both wireless and bluetooth, so they might fit your needs. I'm not sure about Palm's though. I seem to recall that there was a phone that could run AIM/ICQ, but I cant remember its name..

Get a cell phone with ICQ on it... or Pocket PC with bluetooth.

I'm with Rogers on a WAP phone and can access ICQ. You should be able to on all the carriers with a good phone and data plan.

                            eg. http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wire...4R0H3P5MS7EM41

                              here's a little known secret:

You can talk to anyone on ICQ via AIM.

Enter their ICQ # as the member name, and you can contact them and recieve messages from them. You wont be able to see their nickname but you'll be able to talk to people.

Therefore, any phone/PDA/device that can access AIM can access ICQ
