Beer Drinker needs help picking a Champagne for a party.
Title says it all. What is a decent Champagne I could take to the party that shows my appreciation for being invited (new neighboors with a bunch of rich ass friends).
Any recommendations?

With a few phone calls I managed to find a bottle of 90 Dom (they had the 96 as well) for $175. Seems a bit high but I am sure they are taking advantage of last minute shoppers.
I cant find Cristal anywhere right now.

Pierre Jouet I believe is how it's spelled. Around $130-150 a bottle if I'm not mistaken.
Otherwise get the Dom P, the DP Rose is like $220+. Never been a huge fan of Cristal personally, and I tend to go with whatever the girls like since I'm not aiming to get ME too drunk to walk.

Thanks. Going to check on the Pierre Jouet as well

moet white label is classy and wont break the bank
I'd get Reserva Real from Freixenet if you can find it,
didn't see it on their usa site though, but that is deffinately good stuff
Yea this is for a New Years Party. If I hadn't waited I would have probably been able to come up with something hard to get. Been so damn busy I forgot until late last night. Going to head out now. Making some phone calls to try to find some of these suggestions first.

found a review about it here http://www.everywine.co.uk/invt/30764,
mre expensive than dom, kind of surprised me, but that is because french champagne is really expensive in Spain, guess Spanish cava (same thing as champagne) is also expensive in other parts of the world

You can normally find a bottle of Moet Chandon (White Star) at the grocery store for arounf $35. Sells in fine restaurants and cruises for like $80. Goes down easy and tastes rather well
90 dom for 175 isnt that bad new years eve. you could knock 50 bucks off that tag if you wait till tomorrow to buy it.
haggle with them. no shit. tell them you talked to so and so booze and they have a 91 for 150. and a bottle of 94 for 110. tell them u want the 90, but you are looking for a deal. odds are they will knock 10-20% off right there just to score the sale.
want to buy this spot for cheap? it is of course for sale. long term deals are always the best bet. brand0n/ at/ a o l dot commies.

Hey another Freixenet fan
But I bet you were raised on it as it is made in Barcelona right?
My sister won a trip to the 92 Olympics in Barcelona from a competition on a bottle, that's how I found out about the brand
I love PJ Rose, and white star Moet & Chandon.
Dom is nice also, but not may first choice.
If you want to impress, go with Dom, it's the most expensive of the 3 ;)
