Ideas for Stopping TGP Cheaters

I was thinking about how to limit the number of cheaters that get through. I have had a few ideas on how to do it. Are these stupid or do you think they would actually help?

1. Allow partners to submit galleries from only one domain (or possibly a few but they have to be pre-approved first).
2. Use GeoIP to control where submitters can submit from (I know they can just use a proxy but the submitter won't know that)
3. Block proxies (as best I can).
4. Use flash instead of images for passphrase verification (OCR is getting better and better but it still doesn't work on Flash to the best of my knowledge).

The one that really interests me is #1. Are there any sites out there that are already doing that?

All good and stuff but like always the problem will be getting everybody to work the same way.
You can find 20 tgps who will do this and the other 20000 wont.

Yeah, I'm worried about my own little network though. Frankly I don't want everyone to do what I am doing. I already get compliments on how few redirects my sites have compared to many others. The more cheaters my competition has, the better it is for me.

Yeah, I have a massive dns blacklist. It helps but a lot of cheaters are doing a different DNS server for every domain. I am also doing a whois blacklist that checks the registrar and other information. There are a few really common cheaters that whois checks flag almost every time.

I'd love and I do have my own galleries mixed with almost 100K hosted gals but I have to have about 500K galleries in my DB at all times or my sites will cease to exist. Surfers notice rotating galleries so I have to at least take partner submissions...and some of those fuckers are the worst cheaters. That's why I thought maybe limiting them to one or two domains would work.

give partners account only to people who you know and allow them submit up to 10-20 galleries per day (with different templates, etc)

My script bans atleast 100-150 everyday...I think it is only getting worse...My blacklist must have 4000 domains blacklisted...fuckin cheaters

FHG and your own galleries is not a solution. You won't gain bookmarks with that. Also, using remote thumbs is also not really a fix either bc. lot's of their thumbs are bad. Plus with remote thumbs your site won't gain bookmarks either.

Number 4 is your best bet if you want to stop automated submissions. Are having partner accounts that cheat really a big problem?

I'm implementing #1 (pre-approved domains) into my script in the next few months actually. Currently I check registrar info (certain registrars like parava for example are banned), whois and often the whois of the DNS. I'm probably going to start pre-approving those as well. Often you can find a complete "network" of sites going from one DNS to another and they're often in the same C-block which I end up banning.

#4 - Why do you need this if you have partner accounts anyways?

As for #4, I don't want submissions to be automated. I send enough traffic to make a manual submission worth it. If a partner goes bad, perhaps he won't dick with me if he actually has to work to get his gallery listed.

I've always felt that "great" submitters should be able to use autosubmitters etc. What I've implemented is different "levels" of being a submitter. The top of the ladder guys (prefered) get to use autosubmitters etc. The bottom (new partners) have to manually submit to prove themselves. If a prefered partner starts dicking around, they get demoted.

My biggest headache lately is people using scripts to auto generate their galleries and the scripts they have randomly select recips to include with ours. A lot of those recips have mutiple links out, links to hubs/traps, links to non-porn sites and the list goes on. I haven't decided how to deal with that but It's going to result in even more bans and stricter rules etc.

What works for me is this -> Make a second "temp tgp" where you send a few thousand hits to. If the gallery doesn't redirect after 1 day of traffic, most of them are good to go.

Maybe make a gallery spider that loads the galleries using diffrent IPs? Most of those trojan installers blacklist the first few IPS so everything loads fine for them.
