    Why do most CANADIANS / EUROPEANS want to live in the USA?

    Is it because of our superior economy?

    Maybe our more dynamic culture?

    Or is it perhaps our more diverse topography and geographic variety?

    So many Russians and other Europeans and Canadians want to move to the US, it kinda makes one wonder...

              I don't want to live in the USA.

              I want to live in Costa Rica.

              My mother, a Canadian Citien, immigrated to the United States though. I know for her, it was the pay scale for the level of education she has. It was simply better in the USA.

                                                                                                                                                  in many EU countries that kind of things are threatened at the moment though. and we'd have to re-evaluate the "free" bit anyway, since most EU systems for health care use a system of apportionment of costs to finance the health care. you are paying for it through social security contributions.

I would not like to live there anymore because the quality of living is much better in Europe, Asia or South America.

                                                                                                                                                          Generally US is very expensive if you want to have quality. This applies to food, homes, goods - simply everything. If you buy a home or a car in Germany you know it will last for a long time, if you buy fresh fruits in Thailand you know they are healthy products and are not grown inside a chemical plant and if you go to a restaurant in Italy or France you will get great food.

                                                                                                                                                          Annoying about the US is that you need a lawyer for every fart you let go. But it is a great market with lots of money to make in and reasonable taxing. You can get free taxing if you are not a US citizen and reside in a tax free country anyhow, so that is not a great argument.

                                                                                                                                                                  US: You pay in $$ for a meal, gas etc. what we pay in ££ here in the UK.

                                                                                                                                                                  UK is the only country in the world where the police do not carry guns as a norm.

                                                                                                                                                                  New York is now cleaner and safer than London.

                                                                                                                                                                  There are endless comparisons..

                                                                                                                                                                  Only having been to N.Y and Vegas if I had to move to the States, it would be one of those two places with Vegas ahead on points cos I can smoke anywhere and the weather, though a dry heat is great for most of the year compared tohere in London this morning where it's cold and it's pissing down with rain

                                                                                                                                                                      that is simply not true, sorry. it counts for the UK (had the chance to test that myself, 2 years ago, still astonishes me) but basically every other EU member country has you pay social insurance to cover that. only cos it's taken off your income before you get paid out we have come to think of health service as free, which it isn't.

                                                                                                                                                                      in contrary, some countries have introduced deductibles, small ones for now, but the latest news from Germany for example makes one cringe. seems they will have to prove they took care of their teeth all life (reg dentist visits and such), else even the cheapest false teeth will no be paid for by the health service anymore. a report the other day mentioned that Germany saw a huge increase in toothpaste and toothbrush sales since that health service laws have been discussed/introduced.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Because they are morons IMHO... I don't want to live in the USA in no circumstances. High rate of crime, paid medicine, genetically products that lead to brutal obesity (weight of an average US citizen is more than 100kg!), total propaganda, privacy violations and so on... What he hell???

                                                                                                                                                                                              P.S. Canada is a "little bit" colder, but it's many times better than the USA (for all reasons listed above). The same is related to the most parg of European countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Finland and many others.
