Spanish is actually a very easy language to learn, but english speaking fellows has serious problems with the pronunciation..
The one best solution, if you really like to learn, is to go someplace where it is spoken - mexico, cuba(both have pretty "clean" spanish) and central spain .

Depends, there's a lot of slang spanish just like slang english. I've lived in a border city for almost 7 years now, I can understand the spanish well but if you meet someone from deep into Mexico, it's a totally different language. Date a mexican girl for a year and go to one of her family get togethers you can learn spanish easy that way too.Comment
