Yep... Apparently at that time, the newsrooms in Saigon were plastered with images of this stuff - both results of acts from the Vietcong and others. It would "appear" this was not uncommon.We had a family friend years ago that fought in Vietnam and got captured and was a POW....
I've seen pics of decapitated human heads and limbs.. being held up as a "joke". People seem to go nuts in the right environment - I suppose much the same as some in the Third Reich.
I'd like to see the day anyone has the guts to publish some of this stuff - it would be a shock to many who possibly thought their families would never know...
There are also a good few people walking around now who "should" be convicted for shit that went on... acts that are well beyond *anything* to do with a "war".
I dunno... hell.. I could be the same and it's probably naive to think of "showing respect" to forces "on the other side", but tis sad what war brings out in people.
I can't say 100%, but some of these images I saw look damned close to war crimes to me - on both "sides". It would be hard to "explain away" how these images ended up being taken. It is however linked to the Gulf war syndrome, and possible medical side-effects due to it's usage in the original gulf war on Iraqi people, it's also rather inhumane for humans hit with shells from it, it's an incendry and is responcible for a lot of the "crispy critter" pictures of Iraq's you see from the old gulf war.Comment
