I think that's probably worse with a motorcycle but yes it has happened.Originally posted by stevecore

I sold my beater 1981 Chevy Citation to a young comsumer advocate lawyer for $1000. The thing could barely go over 45 mph yet he bought it. I saw him pass by a year later with half the car in grey primer.Make Levees, Not WarComment

I had a 68 Mustang project car that was too much of a project so it sat for about a year. A kid offered me $800 for it so I took it. Saw him the next summer on the road with the car about 90% done. I was really glad that he did something with it, that was a great car.Last edited by twistyneck; 04-16-2004, 06:01 PM.Comment

Happened this week... Followed him, he knew I was following him and he pulled into pizza hut knowing i was following him. I pulled in after him and scared him shitless. Told him i loved his car, found out he paid what i paid for it a year before... great car!Comment

Yeah...always in odd situations. I was back home for a class reunion, and I was hanging out with some people. They ordered pizza, and it was delivered in my old car.Comment

Yep,
I see my very first vehicle I ever had all the time. The guy that bought it lives right off the hiway.
It was a 52 ford pickup on a 78 F-150 chasis running 4:57 gears 44" tires and a 351-M bored .030" over, flat top forged pistons, screw in studs, roller crane rockers and camshaft assembly, aluminum intake with a Holley 4brl carb., all balanced and blueprinted.
It was my baby and it was bad ass!
Peace,

Yeah, I saw my old car being driven like someone else. Felt like I was being cheated on!
