I have been interested in the way the British public has reacted to this. This country is HUGE on giving to charity (just don't get me started on how most of it is to animal charities) and it leads to an interesting reaction when they think their government isn't reflecting that. Originally it was said that the UK was only going to give one million pounds (plus whatever is given through the EU). Every radio show I turned on was British people saying it was disgusting it was and demanding their government give more. I woke up to a report that some 35 million pounds was now being given. It was just interesting to see a gov't be brow beaten into giving more tax payers money to another country.
Oh, and from what I read this is the biggest disater in Swedish history - give them a break, they are giving and doing what they can.

You are right! what's important is that everyone gives aid, and that the aid get's to where it's most needed! Who cares what the breakdowns are!
