    Tsunami Death Toll

    this tragedy is beyond my comprehension - by the time this is over it will be like a city of over 100,000 just being wiped off the map. multiply the 100,000 dead by the family and close friends of the victims - what a friggin nightmare.

    i'm not aware of anything this bad happening in my lifetime. what's the worst tragedy ever to hit North America and how many lives were lost? San Francisco earthquake?

                              it doesn't matter, we're not looking at ratios here, 300 000+ is more than what's happened so far. but don't forget that now there will be disease and hunger in those countries and many more people will die
