Every single day about 160,000 people die worldwide. Think about that to keep things relative.

People die. Everyone sooner or later. Some go early some go late. Some die peacefully some violently. Nature is complex and for whatever reason this is just how it is.

Get used to it. This will never be a planet in peace. War is a part of our very essence.

How is that relevant though? I think most people with common sense already know and understand this. All I did was report the latest from Iraq. I wasn't speaking out against the war or hollering what a tragedy this was.

One of NBC's websites said the base came under mortar fire, so I don't think it was too bad...but who knows

by the time you get to KRLs age, you might look and think differently, its tiresome to witness war and death all the time and at some point you have to accept the fact of death.

"The assailants fired five mortar's shells on the central base of the Spanish, Salvadorian and US forces. The attack was followed by more than 15 minutes of armed confrontation while F-16 warplanes were hovering over the area.

So with that "logic"... we should only stand up and notice that something is not going right with Iraq if 160K people die in Iraq?

                                    Hello?

by the time you get to KRLs age, you might look and think differently...

Sad but true. You get to the point that while it's still sad, but you're blunted to it.

Just be happy those clowns have old mortars and what not AND they seem to do a whole LOT of wanging away but not nearly hitting as much as they could be. Maybe they have sand in their eyes.

Nothing like starting a war and not having a clue as to what to do once you win.

Kind of makes me wonder if someone thought we shouldn't plan that far ahead and why would THAT way of thinking be. Or maybe they just weren't smart enough to think of what to do afterwards.
