Yahoo Domains - have you tried them?

I just noticed Yahoo have slashed prices on domains (incl .COMs) to $4.88. GoDaddy is still at 8.89 (I think) so Yahoo! definitely seems like a good deal for bulk registrations.

Has anyone tried them? Any pros and cons? 'Cos

That's exactly what I feared - crap control panel. I use Pool (and others) for expiring domains and some of the registrars that caught my domains are TOTAL shit - some of them don't have an interface to change DN info, you have to send it to them in an email. How sick is that?

I'll probably register a few domains with Yahoo though and see how it works out. Yahoo do have a good track record dealing with usability issues and copying what other have done.

is yahoo handling it's own registrations now?

i registered a name through them 3 years ago but it's actually at Melbourne It. and it's a pain in the ass to change any of the info or to transfer it.

Godaddy is second to crap next to yahoo. I would use Fabulous.com .. great PPC tools for your portfolios, $6 reg's, lots of great bulk tools, and now they will manage and optimize your portfolios for free.

I used them for the .net compliment to my .com, but I'm just forwarding to the .com.
