    Sour Krauts! I need some help complying with German regulations. 2nd try 1st eaten.

    Apparently the Germans don?t like me. I appear to be on a list of offenders.

    There is a national database over there that adult sites are supposed to connect to in order to verify the age of site visitors.

    As I want to be able to have my passport scanned without worrying about the police and I also don?t want to have kids on my sites I need help setting this up.

    I can GEO target German traffic myself. I just need the German splash page that connects to the national AVS system and verifies the PIN codes.

          There is no valid german avs system. You don't live in Germany, you are not a German and you don't host in Germany.
          Why do you care?
          Regarding the AVS system: NO system is verified by german law.
          There must be a face to face identification to view porn. At the moment, there is no working solution on the german market.
          Make your sites for the austrian and swiss market, they speak german, too

                          There must be some way to get authorized in Germany. I care even though I'm not there. If I can spend a little time and money to do it the legitimate way, that's what I'm going to do.

                              there is no need for any AVS when you do go for german speaking visitors. the german laws do only apply to you when you or your servers are located in Germany and Austria and Switzerland only ask you to have a simple Enter/Exit solution.

                              and please forget about Coolspot, they are the worst. they try to push for a dongle, a hardware device to be purchased and plugged into your PC to make you able to visit adult sites.

                                              At the moment the law says: porn is only allowed if you 'make sure' that none under 18 can watch it.

                                              It is a more complex situation in Germany but that is the point imho: no one can make a 100% AVS.

                                              that is main reason why a lot of people concentrate to other markets now like we do.

                                                  i got a similar letter from germany - they told me my site was to be reviewed by a pannel for morality that included school teachers and religious people, all groups that would br prejustice to adult material in general.. i took germany off my travel list and decided not to even think about it.

                                                  the first letter (registered) i got contained english and german. i got a second letter from them, it had no english. i assume i failed the morality test.

                                                                              I got one of those in german years ago about i domain that was barly being used.
                                                                              I did nothing about it many people have got those.
                                                                              Mine was all in german to no english.
