What benefit does it give them other than making them pathetically lower than life two-fold? Is it for pity points or something? I can't understand or even phathom someone even joking about it.

Mainly attention since they don't have anything else to offer that can get it. In a lot of cases, money (pressing charges etc.)...
...If only she knew I was offering a $10 BONUS on every sale made in a period

Attention or Money, usually the two reasons for making up a rapeComment

I'm not sure what you're referring to. I am referring to a personal situation, not involving me, though it hurts finding out that someone would make a lie like that, even for attention.Originally posted by EscortBiz

the person needs attention so they'll concoct a lie such as being raped like look at the kobe bryant case not to start a battle about this shit but ?WHY? would someone like kobe bryant rape a girl like that she wasn't even hot the little slut, she fucked him so she could tell all her friends that she fucked kobe bryant she probably told all of her little friends once the attention died down and everyone started callin her a whore she then bugs out and she turned the story around and now it's rape now it's his fault...
people are fucked up

Seriously though - Is it because any attention doesn't feel like enough attention?

Its crazy to know that girls can fuck up a guys life by opening their mouth and blurting out a lot of shit. True or not that guys reputation is tarnished for life.
Thank god I got a good girl already, I don't need to worry about that happening to me!Comment

Maybe some women fear that they are going to be blamed with what happened to them. It's more painful for them to hear,"she's asking for it." Or "she was the one who seduced me." They just want to shut out their memory and move on - if they still can.Comment
