Maybe I've been away from hockey too long but I don't recall any game between Boston and Montreal where there wasn't any booing at the National Anthem (either way) and I'm talking about 10-20 years back. Heck they've been booing the fuck out of eachother since hockey exists. Not so sure it has anything to do with the anthem or the flag just pissing on the other team - what they stand for - and their fans. Goes both ways (at least then it was that way) + it's always been a special rivalry between the Habs and the Bruins - they love to hate eachother.

The news crews trying to make and outrage out of it - never offended me when the Bruins fans booed the Canadian anthem (but I was a Bruins fan) or vice versa.

GFY buddy. U know shit. I was born in BC, and have been living in Quebec for 9 years now. I can tell u that the FLQ (front de liberation de quebec ) gets totally smack talked every time they pull something stupid. There are alot of canadian quebecers. alot of them dont want to seperate. Heck I remember, watchingh Quebec news once, there was an FLQ guy, who egged some anglophones house, and it made a big deal because he painted flq on the walls and shit, the newscasters were jsut totally dissing him, flat out calling him an idiot, saying that its because of people like him that we have this image and shit, it was really funny!

The reason alot of people in canada dislike americans is because we often run into Anti-Canadian arogant americans. I've been told by an american that he didnt know canada was in WW2 and WW1, that he thought it was just teh brits and US vs the axis. We've been put down alot. You guys have sucvh a hug population, that there are alot of idiots from the states that start talking trash, and it makes the rest of u guys look bad.

I'd say that most canadians don't hate the US. They hate the way it is run, and its government.

I personally think that americans are great people, and OFTEN hang out with them. I mean, I've got lots of american buddies, and have the utmost respect for them. But I don't like how they continue to build bigger and better nukes, how they continue to up the amount of cash given to the military for projects like laser guns and see nuclear missles that can do more damage, when there is so much poverty and pollution, and so many social problems going on. I also think bush is a die hard idiot. I also think Kerry is a poser and doesnt know who he is, and i feel bad for u guys. Your gonna have to choose between 2 morons.

get rid of that 2 term rule and bring back clinton or something.

And by the way, if some of u knew ur history, Quebec was one of the 2 original provinces of this country, and its hugely because of us that we are what we are today, and not some colony.
