I have used Plesk and CPanel(both root and at domain/account level) - I like CPanel better

I've been using plesk for several years now and have never had any kind of problem with it. I think its stability depends on the installation and configuration a little bit though.

Use Plesk on multiple servers. Willing to give CPanel a try. what makes it better?

              Security is of major concern.

I keep a test network with Plesk running for when i do run into problems. Using Plesk makes it harder to use or install some software like trading or TGP scripts. Plesk has its own databases for contol and they are proprietary. That also means things are in differnet places than a str8 up Linux/apache box.

Plesk sure makes management a hell of a lot easier for a webmaster that isn't a server guru. Hey, we gotta wear a ton of hats!

                  What about HSphere?

                  http://www.hsphere.com

Does Cpanel have all the automatic account creation and everything? Like the person comes to your site, they pick a hosting plan and order it and everything is automatic?

I've used Ensim & Plesk for my hosting company and Ensim is so much more scalable but Plesk is much easier to use on an end-user perspective.

An idiot could master it...and a pro could fall in love with it.

easy enough to try ..im sure theres tons of hosts with demos available
