Different people value different things and different people think about consequences to greater or lesser extents. An eighteen-year-old hottie can make way more in adult than she can as a waitress or at any level of office job she will be given at that age, regardless of qualifications. I tell everyone what I do. I'm proud of what I do. But I skip a lot of opportunities because I know my name is stamped on everything, so I only want to do things I can be proud of. But what might seem icky to me might be the hottest thing ever to someone else. I think a lot of girls pose or perform for whatever they think is hottest and most exciting, basically for whatever they enjoy. Doing adult as a side thing is great for college age girls because it is just a few hours to make what the next girl has to lose hours and hours of study time to do. And it provides something titillating to talk about at parties. Some types of adult modeling and performance lead to fame and glamour and access to a celebrity lifestyle, parties, and potential mates. Some of those that do not lead to a more exciting lifestyle at least pay a lot. Some types of adult performance give the performer the opportunity to live out sexual fantasies she would never get to in real life. Sure, a cute girl can generally get laid with little difficulty, but lots of girls have very specific sexual desires that are not easy to satisfy.
