My thoughts on PedoHunter...

I've been giving it some thought... and perhaps I've changed my tune.

Hey... if this guy wants to surf the web all day looking for affiliate program TOS violations... good for him. Program owners should be thanking him.

Bringing the complaints directly to a forum instead of the programs themselves isn't something I approve of... but that's his perrogative. Seems to me he's just looking for the easiest way possible to report the abuses.

If the programs started cancelling affiliate accounts based on this information... think of the tens of thousands in affiliate payouts they would get to keep for themselves. lol

If he found an affiliate of SinBucks doing any of this stuff I can't say I would care how the news got to me... I'd just be thankful that I received it.

But it would seem more logical to contact the admin of the affiliate program or something yanno?

im just tred of seeing threads with "PRETEEN" this and PRETEEN that

i dont care about what he does, he can go jerk his dick to CP all he wants. just stop shoving these URLS down my throat.

I dont push max cash or any other sponsor he is bashing, i dont care.

just tuired of having to see the word PRETEEN in every other thread title when he starts bumping his threads and starting new ones day after day

i think hes going more for fame..he mentioned 60 minutes on this...sounds like hes doing this more for him rather than cleaning up cp

Well put Brad. I think what this individual should be cautious of though is if they aren't careful and not in contact with any law agency they may open themselves up.

I agree... If he wants to do this right he should just keep one thread alive and call it guess what I just found. LOL If he actually does find some illegal content, he best not post links to it here, that's a BIG no-no.

Also, I can't agree with sponsor bashing of any sort... at least not until they've had a chance to address what has been found. It's not reasonable to hang a program out to dry unless they knowingly support a violation of their own TOS.

This is not about bashing sponsors or posting illegal content. This is about exposing people (obviously well know on this board) that are using "preteen, child, pedo...." to drive traffic to porn sites (that are obviously no able to control their affiliates). This is going on for some time already and since nohahahaha seemed to be interested in cleaning this up, either now is the time to do it or the press/credit card companies and bush will bash all in the biz for this.

why do you think posting it here is the thing to do?

contact the sponsors directly.

if they dont take action THEN post here.

i dont want to see threads linking child pron (real or not) domains everyday.

you will eventually get banned.

Rather then posting links to purported CP - post links to websites suspected of NOT COMPLYING WITH 2257.

It is against the law to knowingly follow a link to CP.

If you find a website that your are suspicious of not following 2257 - post a link - I will assist with your investigation and subsequent exposure. However, I will not follow any link where the poster says it is "CP".

I wouldn't be surprised he is actually owning the domains and just changing the whois info so he can get some attention on the boards.

Its also possible that the urls he's "reporting" are controlled by him but contain the affiliate links of a third party. Perhaps an attempt to damage the cashflow/reputation of a competitor?

He is not fighting child porn by doing this. There is no accusation of anything about child porn on any of the domains he's posted.

He is just pointing out domains that have words he doesn't like. They are not illegal in any way. They may be against program rules, but they are not "illegal".

If he wants to fight child porn, he should go after people who are hurting children.

Otherwise, he's just trying to cause drama.
