Just some constructive criticism, I hope you don't take it the wrong way... but banners should be under 30k, especially at 468x60. 300k is at least ten times more than a banner should be. The more frames you have in an animation, the heavier the file size. You can also cut the size down by removing some colors.Originally posted by Creative

I was just trying to give you some constructive criticism. You can't attract attention if the surfer has already left the page before the banner even loads. Honestly, I'm just trying to be helpful. You need to check out file size every time. I know you weren't getting paid for the job, but if you're going to use something as a sample, you want it to be your best work. Now, the mom and pop barber shop knew that they couldn't possibly offer haircuts that cheaply and stay in business, so they put a sign out that read, "We fix $10 haircuts!" Their business doubled.

Seriously, I'm trying to get you to look at your designs and improve, but you don't want to listen. The only way you can improve is by learning what it is that you are doing wrong. I'm sorry if you felt belittled. I was honestly trying to help. I remember someone doing the same thing for me several years ago and I too felt a little bad, but I didn't take it to heart. I listened and improved. You can, too. Just practice and listen and learn all you can. Many of the world's most successful people say that you should never stop trying to learn. No matter how good you get, you can always get better.

that one looks ok to me for 8 bucks. i think u are going about it the wrong way though. you should offer to do some free banners for people and build up a portfolio page first. telling people you just threw these up quickly but you will put in more effort if they are paying doesnt really cut it, especially when you claim to have been designing for 5 years.Comment
