    type-in domain question (no pics)

    There's a great type in domain availible, but I can not really use it because a BIG
    online company will assfuck me in no time. I've seen a similar type-in registered by a Chinese and he has a site that goes to whatever search engine. My question is if I register the type-in domain who can I sell it to, or is there a way I can make money out of it? If I register it and then sell it to someone else can that company still sue me?

    Not sure if this is the best example but lets say the domain is
    hotmail.com and the type-in hormail.com.

                  The answer is that it depends.

                  Do they have the name/word trademarked? If so, you're prohibited from making a commercial use of it, even if it's a misspelling.

                  That includes you purchasing the domain and selling it to a 3rd party.

                          Trust my judgement - it is good. No, it's not going to make you rich even if you can have a site on that domain, but it's still easy money (if you can use at all that is).
