        Wow man this really set Shemp off. Personally I don't see anything offensive in the wording rio used. It just sounded like he wanted to know if the listings higher up would get enough traffic to cover the $90 fee.

        At the same time though, business is business and it's gotta stay that way. As far as I know, shemp is one of the most helpful guys around. He's always answering questions on the MP board. TGP owners are webmasters too, they're not gods. They have the right to just say fuck it sometimes and delete a submitter or whatever if they want. Not EVERYTHING can be personal, that can only cause problems in a business where there's so much social interaction mixed in.

        My are worth more than any of your BTW. If you disagree, bring it.

                                You think submitting will be around much longer? Hopefully soon the only thing left will be paid spots. Free spots are a waste of advertising space IMO. Better to have a good gallery designer post some galleries that'll make a good return than a free submitter barely making anything with a crap gallery

                                        However, a TGP owner like Shemp has always the option to deny all free submissions and only list paying submitters. However that still doesn't justify his reaction.

If I got a GOLD PLUS account it would of sent me more hits, which meant more signups faster. I only started this whole thing because I wanted input on the GOLD PLUS account. More than half the people are on my side and dont find what I said, to be complaining.

                                                                                    Just some words of advice if you're new to galleries or the biz in general. Before you buy paid submitter accounts or gallery spots take the free partner accounts and use the 1k/day hits to gals or whatever and use it to tweak your style. Track your CTR and conversions if there are any sales very closely. If you can't get enough traffic to make a sale base it on what's worked well for other WM's. Copying strategy isn't a crime.

                                                                                    Get a few templates with a high CTR for a good converting sponsor in your portfolio. It's good to keep spreadsheets with all the numbers too.

                                                                                    Then, buy the preferred account. Let the traffic roll in and your pre-big traffic launch effort will pay off very well. I don't do galleries much but when I do I use one that's proved itself. I have no problem buying a gallery spot and making double what I paid for it because I took the time to analyze all the data and utilize all the resources, such as free traffic I could find.

                                                                                            In my humble opinion, he was happy with the traffic, but needed more and therefore wanted to upgrade in order to get listed higher and receive more of the good shit. He wasn't complaning about the quality of the traffic, but the amount:

                                                                                            He was willing to pay you for a higher listing, and you shut the door right in front of your eyes.

                                                                                            Just a little weird, in my perspective. Especially from a business standpoint. Ah well. Enough crying.

Like maybe you were saying the free accound didn't send much traffic, so the paid one might not either. It's just not good to say anything remotely possibly concieved as negative by any other webmaster about a program before you've thoroughly tested it.

                                                                                                                                                                More than half of those people have nothing to do with TGP and have no fucking clue what's involved in running one. You WERE complainign if you look at the context, but all things aside.. What do you really expect? Your hits are going to depend on your listing. Do you really know enough about tgp and the nuances of tgp traffic to actually say what should be productive and what shouldn't, or how many hits are enough or not? Really now, lets be honest here.

                                                                                                                                                                Asking questions isn't a bad thing, but when you start it off by saying what the wonderful thing you got for free IS NOT, then generally people aren't going to keep reading to see what you thinka bout what it IS. Negative often precludes the positive in a situation like this. You could have handled it much differently, learned a few things by asking around, and maybe exercised a little tact. In fact, if you would have contacted shemp, I'm sure he would have given you references or something of the like, if that's really what you need. You also seem to have forgotten that this is a holiday weekend. HOLIDAYS FUCKING SUCK FOR TRAFFIC, for EVERYONE. People are gone with families etc they can't surf porn. I'd say 1,500 hits on a holiday weekend isn't so fucking bad, all things said and done. Patience in a virtue, in business, and so is learning when to keep your mouth shut.

Maybe it would have been better for him to just inquiry about a Gold Plus account instead of adding the part how he had a free Gold account and that there was way to little traffic from it. He should have just said something like "Does anyone have a Gold Plus account with Shemp and is it worth it?". I don't know Shemp personally and I'm pretty new to this board but have been in the adult business for about 3 years now.
                                                                                                                                                                                        When I saw Shemps thread how he was accepting new Gold accounts I applied and got denied. I emailed him back saying no problem and wishing him luck in the business. I didn't even ask the reason why I got my application denied. He went out of his way to explain to me that my galleries need a minimum of 15 pics which I didn't know. After fixing my example galleries he accepted my application. Knowing how much applications he probably receives, I appreciated the fact that he emailed me willing to explain why I got denied without me asking and then accepting my submission. I'm pretty sure other large gallery site owners wouldn't have done this and wouldn't have even replied back.
                                                                                                                                                                                        I do think that there was a little misunderstanding between two about riosluts post, but it is Shemp's site and he should be able to do what he wants with it without taking crap from other people. Just my two cents...
