So called sales reps on this board help out only if you join under their ref. link

I won't go into naming names.

If you ask for sponsors, sites or something in those lines, tons of people will jump on your ICQ. Friendly, chatty, willing to help and cooperate.

Everything goes smooth until you get to the point, "now please join our program via this link:

    www.sponsor.com?id=salesrep

    "
    WTF!
I don't like to join your program via your link, I am already a member!

The conversation stops there, 70% of the so called sales reps loose their interest and leave you hang.

IF you want some real help, first ask if the "sales rep" is on the payroll of the company.

Some sponsors only pay commission. Your situation is precisely why a commission based affiliate rep is not a good solution, salary + commission is much better.

You must've just found a bed rep. I'm in sales with CMM and I'm more then happy to work with ANY CMM affiliate.

I don't mind helping out someone else's client. I would expect the same consideration however. If they KEPT coming to me over their actual rep however, the REP would be told to take better care of their clients.

Otherwise, the customer gets the shaft and may take their business elsewhere.

However, I can also see some reps not wanting to help someone else's client, just out of fear of stepping on someone else's toes.

Most commissioned based sale's reps can easily go to the powers that be and have you placed under them, or even in archaic methods, write it down.

If you are sending traffic and they are helping, the program does not care who gets a commission.

If you need anything from us, let me know, I am not commission based either.

If a program's sales rep comes across someone on a board w/ a question about the program that they rep for, they should by all means step in and help even if it's not "their affiliate". Pisses me off if someone can't just help out for a second with no immediate gratification other than "thank you".

Right, but commission only forces him to work harder.

I help whether you join under my link or not... I do offer my link when I'm talking to someone about joining our programs, but mainly because I can be sure I'm listed as their rep. and in the stats area they will have access to my contact info, phone #, etc...

sometimes sales reps are not doing that so they get a commission, but instead sending you through their sign up link so their clients are tracked and the big boss can see how much work they are doing to get the company business

i send people to other businesses all the time with my own referral link, but my commission in their program settings is set to 0% because I am working for them on salary, not commission, but the referral link lets the boss know I am working
