maybe its a reminder out there for all the password sites that help people put movies on kazaa, that the billing companies should enforce password security, and people should follow through with this, people that are cracking the passwords are just running a program and if the passwords are simple and the users are choosing it people are going to have free access, the billing companies let people get away with this, with htaccess its easier to break into, and having a form login its much more secure. our company does pay site security auditing. you just cant have simple passwords. people are here to make money not loose it, and with weak passwords, of course your content is going to travel to kazaa. the bigger the password tougher it is the harder it will be to crack.

As for password leaks, that is the LEAST problem with content theft. The largest problem is people on high speed Internet access getting a trial membership and downloading all of the videos and then going to Kazaa.
"IF" your paysite has so many password problems, you can use htaccess and correct the problem in 2 seconds. Generate the passwords for the user. randomworld / random two numbers / random word. Password traders will be busy as hell trying to crack those.

trust me, random word random this has nothing to do with it, the utilities they are using is a big dictionary file made of already used logins say jay182 and password and they run it against the server using proxies over and over until it breaks in the dictionary file is huge, using random will not stop this. there are ways to enforce this, but companies just dont want to take time. they would rather let it slide. free accounts for people? or do you want to tighten down and let only the paid people have access. you work hard to run your site. dont let scum ruin your business model.Since 1999: 69 Adult Industry awards for Best Hosting Company and professional excellence.
