    Why do people buy FHM and Maxim?

    They are just dumbed down versions of Playboy.


    It seems most of the guys that I know that typically buy those magazines can't score with girls, drive Mustangs / Camaros, watch professional sports, drink cheap beer, and work construction jobs.

              I've got free subs to Maxim, Stuff, and FHM but I used to pay for them before I got industry comped.

              The hahahahahars are funny, they have interesting Guinness Book of World Record-style facts, and there's lots of celebrity babes in lingerie, which I think is actually sexier than nudity.

                                                                              The only mag I've found sofar in that niche that's worth buying is Gear Mag. It's the only one I've found with the right combo of hot babes and good articles. IMO FHM and Maxim are for the people that don't like to read and just look at the glossy pictures

                                                                                                                                              Maxim/FHM are typical of "hip" magazines of the new generation. The women are MUCH hotter (than Playboy) and the photography is superior.
