i used to have a radeon 9000 ati graphic card. then i had to put in a TNT2 M64 (crappy 4 year old card) 32mb. And Ive noticed that my computer lags more. can it be because of the graphic card

Depends on what's slowing down, but yes, play a game with it and then you'll know for sure!Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

It cannot slow the PC down, but it can be a bottleneck. If you are doing email or spreadsheets, they won't run any slower with the old video card. If you are viewing images on the web, there is not speed difference as you are spending your time waiting on the network. But if you are running a game, then it will be slower because the graphics aren't "accelerated" like they should be and all the fast parts of the PC can't help that video card draw the images any faster.Comment

The cannot be caused by a video card. At least, not enough for you to be able to notice. One possibility though is that if the old drivers are still loaded that can cause some issues. Be sure that you have completely removed the old video card drivers. Other than that though, the problem isn't the video card if you are just surfing the web.Originally posted by riosluts

Interesting theory, but unfortunately it is wrong. The TNT2 isn't a modern powerhouse but it is a 4xAGP card with a memory bandwidth of 2.4MBps and an ability to run 1024x768 at 200Hertz. Do the math. That video card isn't slowing a browser down.Originally posted by Bigjohn
