          It won't have the budget for Ludacris.

          Ludacris is an option for January's Ball.

          We'll have great talent perform, just figuring out the budget and who's available for the prices.

                      It won't be a Snoop or 50 Cent since it's a lower budget, but we can still get some kick ass talent for our price range.

                      Sponsors have the most to do with who we can afford.

                                                                          As for funk groups, always a possibility. I prefer to go with big name talent and not local bands though.

                                                                          Maybe we'll mix in a DJ like DJ Whoo Kidd, DJ Jam (Snoop's DJ), DJ Vlad or Lantern, Mix Master Mike, or whoever fits the bill for the right price.

                                                                          I've never thrown a Players Ball in S.D. and would really love to do one there.

                                                                          I'll make the sponsorship pricing really cheap and have a bunch of sponsors this time.

                                                                                                      It's going to be a cheaper show then normal, so the packages will be cheaper for those sponsors.

                                                                                                      I'm thinking around $2500 or so per sponsor.

                                                                                                      Once I see the interest in that price range I'll know if that will pull it off. If not, I'll adjust and make a main sponsor more money then the rest with a bunch of cheaper ones also getting exposure.

                                                                                                      David Spade is in SD that night, we have some hook ups with his camp, so maybe we'll get him over to party with us. Maybe do a little comedy on the late night tip or just hang out depending on the price. Should be do-able since he'll be there and our party goes late.

                                                                                                      Not the fake David Spade that hustles webmasters in Vegas, the real one with the acting and comedy career.

They've been on my call list every Players Ball, they hear from us everytime. We've had good discussions in the past.

                                                                                                                                              Sometimes the pornstar angle appeals to these bigger groups, plus we have history amongst their peers. They all want to perform at a Players Ball, just a matter of the price.

                                                                                                                                              Any big players want to chip in if you could name your artist of choice? This way, I know if I get a good response from that artist, I'll know I have some of the money raised already for them.

                                                                                                                                              I know Phish is one of those kind of artists where if a webmaster was a big fan, they chip in more then they would have ever imagined. So what's the hot button?

Initially I'm thinking to offer all bigger sponsorships for $2500 and see what I can raise. The goal would be to get enough of those to cover the costs of the venue and artist.

                                                                                                                                                          It's a really funny formula when you creat packages for parties.

                                                                                                                                                          Last time was good for us because we offered really low prices to get involved, but we didn't secure them until the very last second. When you book the artists, you need to have a good idea of what's secured way before the last second.

                                                                                                                                                          So here's my thinking.

                                                                                                                                                          Offer cheaper packages and get a bunch of them, offer these sponsors a share of the "pass pie". The unsaid value to a sponsor is hooking someone up with a pass when they get there. I don't want webmasters to have to pay at all for a pass, they should get one from a paid sponsor. I'd like to offer the San Diego locals to join us and pay to get in, once we have our people inside first. This will help us offset the costs for our sponsors. Plus, SD has the most beautiful women in the world and our peeps would want that at the party. So we'll charge the beautiful women to party with our webmasters.

                                                                                                                                                          I'll hand all 1000 passes to the sponsors, if by 11:00 pm we have room for the local to come inside, the venue will charge and let them . The start time will be around 10:00 pm. This is a fair way to keep it private to just us, but if people don't show if the trade show is smaller then we thought, we'd still pack the place.

                                                                                                                                                          Anyone wanting to offer a dollar amount and send it to my email. I'm sure we can make packages for anyone willing to contribute.

                                                                                                                                                                              I was waiting for him to be a bigger name so I could sell sponsorships. Sometimes the sponsors want to know it's a name they're familiar with. Other times like the one coming up in SD, it's my choice for what I think would go off the most for the dollar amount.

When we booked Long Beach Dub Allstars, no one ever heard of them.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Other groups like Fishbone, B-Side Players, DJ Sasha, Xzibit and a bunch of others for example.

                                                                                                                                                                                              And I'd love to book someone even MikeAI would enjoy!
