i haven't used bittorrent ever really, never needed to...usenet gets up to 500kb/sec most of the time and has most shit before it ever hits the torrent servers

honestly, i have always felt that bittorrent is for the novice who don't want to bother learning how to work the newsgroups and news programs

Quite contraire. BitTorrent is an excellent way to move large files around regardless of access to a specific (or any) newsgroup(s).
