Auto Gallery ( All Versions ) Vs. Ap TGP

what do you guys think on this? i use ap scripts and it does the job very nicely.
what is the upsides and downsides to these?
which has better features?
what should be added to either script?

I like AG SQL - although some have found some complications if they are used to older versions when trying out BETA 3.

But starting from new I'd say its all good.

AutoGallery is cool but personally I am not to keen on the Autogallery Pro version at the moment the SQL version is a lot better but as you get lifetime updates I am sure the pro version will catch up

i bought a copy of agtgp yesterday, programmer is nice but it is really lacking compared to either autogallery or more so to comus thumbs.

Problems with it

#1 - you can't do a view of all thumbs and easily fix the bad ones it makes.

#2 - the build process is moronic, you can't set the output page name (I dont want it named index.html nor do i want seperate folders made) autogallery or comus both let you set page name.

#3 - it needs a edit mode, which hahahahahahas you then allows you to surf your tgp and any thumb you click gives you the option to goto the gallery, edit or rethumb.

#4 - pain in the ass to move gallerys from one category to another, you have to do each one at a time from what i see.

#5 - no link at top set to your tgp, so you can view what changes you've done.

Good Things

#1 - it thumbs faster then any other script

That's what I got so far, only have had it a day. It's not a complete piece of shit but doesn't do really anything that helps me.

I haven't used the pro version since i bought the SQL, but in the sql you are able to set the gallery date so in theory yes you can then run via cron if you preset all the galleries ahead of time.

top review mate, i agree with those, also ap tgp does not allow the use of auto gallery submitting programs such as russian submitter etc.
you have to manually add partner accounts and so forth.

also some gallerys can not be added coz of some error about the syntax of the html page,

and also soem gallerys come back with 0 pics/videos even thou clearly there is pics and videos.

the programmer said that the new relase is due out soon, so hopefully these problems will be fixed

Yes you can Sosa,

I run several sites with both Pro version and SQL version and I would say 100% pay the bit extra and get the SQL version it runs a lot smother than the pro version saying that both versions are pretty cool once set up and very easy to change things if you need to.

+ You cant not crop the thumbs inside the admin in a easy way.
You have to click alot of times and always remember what gallery your already have copped for.
It would be more easy if you could do it directly from the worklist, one gallery at once.

+Submitters cant upload their pre-cropped thumbs, it that somekind of bug??

+The thumb cropper is not that good.

if you want to run sponsorhosted galleries do not use AGS SQL since it does not sort the permanent galleries by the number of hits sent to them. just fyi if thats what your planning.
