What is the point of making 200 crappy 1 page sites with a few thumbs, 1/2 of which don't bring up a real pic but goes to a sponsor instead??? Why so many? Literally hundreds in a circle and I imaginethe same person owns them. Couldnt they get by with 30 ? Why pay for 200 domains? They can't be getting SE traffic.

I was trying to figger that out myself. How does one expect to make a sale? For example. try www.jerking-it.com .. now that just rips me out that they'll just send you thru loop after loop .. and this one in particular if you get deep enough you start digging up the child porn and the beastialty ads. too much ...

It might sell better if it is good but is it worth the time? I think you have to choose in the middle of complete crap and a site you would actually like.

One school of thought in the circle-jerk (CJ) site world was to jerk your surfers around inside a large network of fairly useless sites in order to get them so tired of it that they would choose to join a pay site, where they would then be free to look at actual porn in a jerk-free environment with no popups or BS.
It is what it is.
It works for some, appears stupid to others. Why not just build the kind of sites you like to build and nevermind what other guys are doing? I mean really, another school of thought is that if you build *good* sites, then you will get more bookmarkers thus make you more money. Fine if you're running a TGP, but CJ'ers aren't interested in bookmarkers, they make all their money from unique hits.
Get em in, get em off to a pay site, the end.

If you are linking hundreds of sites with different names they are trying to get the surfer that is looking for a site with that particular content that they choose because of the name. I have a ton of sites that don't do anything. I know you're talking mostly about circle jerking specifically.. which I don't do.. but I still have tons of sites that just sit there.
My original goal was to make my own network of sites trading traffic. But I only ever find myself working on one or two a day .. and the others get neglected.
For that reason I, personally, prefer the one single TGP that grows to 250k over 25 TGPs with 10k.
Hard to sell gallery spots on a 10k TGP too.
