    What the fuck does Crunk mean?

    the past year its all I hear what does it mean and how was it originated? is it crazy and drunk?

    Are there any other hot words I need to know. so I can still hang with the shorties

          1. cool, hype, to be overly energetic and or combative. The word has origins in the southern urban culture, and has not been heard by northern ears until recently. Although it has just gotten popular the word has been used in Southern songs for years.
          Crunk
          n. A musical genre of hip hop formed and dominant in the Southern states, i.e. Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Louisiana,and the Carolinas. Made popular by the success of Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys, David Banner, Youngbloodz, Pastor Troy, Lil Scrappy, Trillville,etc. The music is loud and abrasive in nature, with bass heavy beats, and loud repetitive lyrics. The music is high energy and is usually heard as only club music.

                                                          Honestly it's an ebonic term. People used to say crank it up or whatever when referring to different things. Sometime in the mid 90's people somehow fucked up crank and turned it into crunked. So before Lil Jon made Crunk extra popular we used to hear songs with the term Get Crunked Up in the hook.

                                                          It's been a popular term even before there was a certain type of music to go with it.
                                                          I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...
