Sometimes it is the artist lipsyncing because they "can't do it today", and sometimes it is the TV program they are on forcing them to do it (requirement of being put on the air). Many supposedly live shows are not able or willing to handle everything that goes into producing goodlive sound, so they would rather have the artist either sing over a tape, or lipsync the entire thing.
Some shows will allow one guitar or maybe the drummer to be somewhat live to add some depth to the sound, but basically they will force the performer to be nothing more than an MTV doll.
Having said that, she has nice tits. :-)
