What kind of "script" would make your life easier?

phpAdsNew does something similar to this. you can add keywords to your banners and then select them on different pages based on those keywords. not exactly what you were asking for but it might be something to look into.

OK... I want a script that will hahahahaha "non spam" websites, select from a load of categorized "food" at random and use another load of niche orientated text at random to fill it up from a series of randomly pulled templates.

Two scripts that I would like:

I'd like a script that would grab a random text file from a folder. Then I could use an Include statement in my code to put it wherever I want on my pages. I could use that with a salesblurb folder to display a variety of sales blurbs for a program. I could use it with a banners folder as a banner rotator that would allow me to display both graphics and text banners, along with associated text. And probably useful for a lot of other things I haven't thought of. It sounds like a simple project, but I can't find a script out there that does this.

I'd like a script that will parse a webpage, extract all the links, visit each link and make a screencap thumb in a configurable size, linked to the corresponding URL. Basically, I just want to point it at my own linkslist and have it make thumbnail screencaps of all my sites, in whatever size I want.

Most useful script I have is to rotate my movie series on my MGP sites... I just upload and schedule and forget about it
